In an industry that constantly evolves, having technology that supports business growth is essential. At Pomelo, we continue to expand the capabilities of our platform so that fintechs, banks, and companies can launch, operate, and scale card programs with greater autonomy, efficiency, and speed.

In this edition, we share the latest launches and improvements incorporated into our card issuance and processing solution: from loyalty programs and new configuration tools to improvements in documentation, tokenization, and operational management.

Loyalty by Pomelo: points and cashback program for your cards

Loyalty programs have stopped being a differentiator to become a user expectation. Each transaction represents an opportunity to strengthen the bond with customers, increase card usage, and generate greater recurrence.

That's why we launched Loyalty by Pomelo, a comprehensive solution to create, operate, and scale points and cashback programs from a single platform, without relying on complex developments or fragmented integrations.

With Loyalty you can:

  • Create multiple simultaneous, personalized, and segmented campaigns.
  • Manage them autonomously from our Dashboard.
  • Analyze the impact of each campaign in real-time.
  • Configure promotions according to merchants, consumption categories, user segments, or specific behaviors.
  • Access complete traceability to measure performance and adoption.
  • Automate actions and notifications through real-time events.

The solution was designed to adapt to different business models, allowing the operation of rewards programs regionally, scalable, and with a native integration into Pomelo's card ecosystem.

Set commissions in 30 seconds

We have launched our commission module, which allows you to define commission rules on different types of transactions directly from our Dashboard, without the need for additional developments.

This functionality allows you to:

  • Generate new sources of revenue.
  • Gain operational autonomy.
  • Easily adapt commission strategy.
  • Simplify tax management.

The module offers advanced configuration capabilities, including fixed or percentage commissions with optional maximum caps, rules applicable to domestic and international purchases, and configuration for cash withdrawals and balance inquiries.

Stand-in: guarantee of operational continuity

When an issuer does not respond in time, each rejected authorization represents a potential loss of revenue and a poor user experience.

Our Stand-in module functions as an automatic fallback mechanism that allows authorizations to remain operational even in the event of timeouts or temporary unavailability. Its benefits include:

  • Avoid unnecessary rejections.
  • Protect the user experience at critical times.
  • Improve the approval rate.
  • Increase customer conversion and trust.

The solution allows defining configurable limits per transaction, easily identifying operations processed via Stand-in, and synchronizing information in real-time through webhooks, providing complete visibility over its behavior.

Pomelo AI in the Dashboard

Accessing information, documentation, and support is now simpler thanks to Pomelo AI. This new experience centralizes assistance within the Dashboard so teams can resolve queries and move forward faster without switching tools. With Pomelo AI you can:

  • Get immediate answers to frequently asked questions.
  • Access documentation without leaving the Dashboard.
  • Receive contextual assistance within the workflow.
  • Reduce the time spent searching for information.
  • Automatically escalate to the support team when necessary.

In this way, support, documentation, and assistance coexist in a single access point, improving the operational experience of the teams.

We relaunched our API Reference

We completely redesigned our API Reference to offer a more modern, intuitive, and self-managed technical experience. The main new features include:

  • New optimized navigation structure.
  • Global search to find endpoints, concepts, and resources more quickly.
  • Integration with Pomelo AI for assisted inquiries.
  • More comprehensive and organized integration guides by product.
  • New changelog to follow updates and news.
  • Dark mode and general experience improvements.
  • Access to our MCP Server in beta to interact with the platform using natural language.

The goal is for teams to integrate, test, and launch products faster, with less friction and greater independence.

Additionally...

  • More flexibility in managing user data: it is now possible to incorporate custom fields via API to adapt the data model to the specific needs of each business. You can create and query up to 10 custom fields per user from both the API and the Dashboard, allowing additional information to be captured in a structured and consistent manner.
  • Autonomous contact management by topic: teams can centrally manage who receives each type of communication, keeping the information always updated and aligned with the organization's internal structure. This reduces operational errors and ensures that each communication reaches the correct people.
  • Token manager and daily report: we have introduced a new experience to view and manage tokens directly from the Dashboard. It is now possible to query the tokens associated with each card, filter by status, pause, reactivate, or deactivate them as needed. Additionally, a daily report is included with details of tokenization attempts, including statuses, failure reasons, provisioning type, and relevant information for analysis and monitoring.
  • Stock management on the Dashboard: gain real-time visibility of available card stock by design, monitor recent demand, estimate weeks of coverage, and identify stock-out risks to anticipate restocking and optimize operations.
  • Click to Pay for Principal Members: enable Visa's new digital checkout standard automatically, without initial integration, additional costs, or assuming the technical burden of certification. Cards can be automatically enrolled in the Click to Pay ecosystem, allowing for a simpler, safer online payment experience aligned with new industry standards.
