“We help our users spend internationally with fair conversion rates and receive payments from abroad with the simplicity of a local account. But we are building much more than cross-border finances. With ARQ, we are expanding into everyday finances, including investment and our Prestige credit card, designed for customers who need a global product they can trust.”
How we accompany ARQ in its evolution and regional expansion

From rebranding to launching its metal card, we supported ARQ in one of the most significant stages of its growth: transitioning from a fintech focused on international payments to a comprehensive financial platform for everyday use. This also marked a milestone for our Printing & Logistics service with the launch of its metal card "Prestige" powered by Pomelo: a leap in our value proposition and user experience.
When a client evolves, our value proposition cannot be left behind. Learn how we support them in a partnership that continues to expand throughout Latin America.
The challenge of ARQ behind its rebranding
ARQ, formerly DolarApp, had been building a solid cross-border finance proposition. But its ambition was greater: to integrate consumption, investment, and credit into a single platform. That kind of leap is not just a rebranding. It is a change in product, operation, and scale. Now, users on the ARQ platform find:
Buying and selling digital dollars and euros
Sending and receiving payments from abroad
International cards for travel and online purchases
Investment tools in digital dollars
Credit card
The evolution of ARQ involved addressing multiple challenges in parallel while maintaining a premium experience for a demanding and global segment. With Pomelo, they addressed those fronts simultaneously, maintaining operational consistency and accelerating their time to market in the region.

How do we support them from Pomelo with our technology?
From Pomelo, we supported ARQ in the launch of its cards powered by Pomelo in Argentina, Colombia, and Brazil. Now our partnership also supports their brand evolution and value proposition. All with our infrastructure ready to scale from day one with security and speed.
Our partnership allowed them to operate on a unified, consistent, and flexible basis, avoiding the need to rebuild their stack in each new market. But more importantly: we gave them speed. Because growing in Latam is not just about entering new countries, it's about doing so without compromising user experience or operational stability.
Currently ARQ uses our services for:
Processing: real-time transaction processing with authorization logic, integrated anti-fraud, and direct connection with Mastercard.
Tokenization and digital wallets: our tokenization technology and integration with Apple Pay and Google Pay to offer NFC payments to users through their mobile devices, such as phones or smartwatches.
3D Secure: security layer to confirm the identity of people making online purchases with cards, aiming to prevent fraud such as the use of stolen or cloned cards. The process is usually found in the checkout of websites and consists of requesting an extra password or entering a security code to validate the purchase.

“Supporting ARQ in this new stage is a clear example of how well-designed regional infrastructure allows scaling without friction. It is not just about launching in new markets, but doing so with consistency, speed, and a product experience aligned in each country. That is the foundation on which we built this alliance.”
Our Printing & Logistics service for your metal card
As part of this new stage, ARQ launched its metal card “Prestige.” It is not just an aesthetic decision but a strategic product one: the physical card remains one of the most relevant touchpoints with the user and, in this case, it had to be up to the level of a premium proposition, both in design and experience.
At Pomelo, we provide a comprehensive Printing & Logistics service that allows launching and scaling physical card programs under industry standards and brand regulations. This included the production of metal cards with laser personalization for named cards and machined finishes, achieving a distinctive result both visually and tactually.
We accompany this process from end to end: from manufacturing and embossing to individual distribution, delivery monitoring, and replenishment management. All integrated with card processing and lifecycle. The result is a physical experience aligned with a high-level digital product, where each interaction with the card reinforces the value proposition.
A strategic alliance that makes a difference
The case of ARQ shows something deeper than a rebranding or a launch, it shows what happens when infrastructure stops being a limitation and becomes an enabler:
a product evolves without redoing the operation
there's expansion without multiplying complexity
differentiation even in something as tangible as a card.
If you're thinking about launching or scaling your card business in the region, we can help you do it with the right infrastructure from the start.
